I stink

I stink. Lately I can't paint for crap. Everything I paint I hate. I'm in a funk and can't seem to get out. I painted a little this weekend and blah, yuck nothing even worth showing. I need to clear my head. I think I have too many ideas cluttering around up there.

Oh and who thought to invent reduced fat peanut butter? It stinks. Give me full fat all the way.

How do you clear your mind to get creative?

First day of Fall and a SALE!

Hello bandits! Today is the first day of fall my absolute favorite time of year ( I think most people say that) for me it truly is. I love the anticipation of the holidays, cool weather, crisp falling leaves, hot apple cider, caramel apples, family gatherings, and building a fire ( in my case flipping the switch on the gas fireplace) I miss my parents house. We had a real fireplace and my dad always built one during the fall and winter. Almost every night.

In honor of fall arriving I am having a buy 2 get 1 free ornament sale. Buy any 2 ornaments in my shop and get one free! How cool is that? At check out in notes to seller just mention what ornament you would like as your free ornament. This includes any personalized ornament too.

Happy Fall Ya'll!

Thank you Direct TV

Thank you for having every possible football game collage and pro imaginable, it's a baby sitter for my loving husband! It gives me uninterrupted time to myself where I can just paint paint paint. Direct TV you are my hero.

With that said I was able to paint 4 canvas' today and make 2 more ornaments. I also played around with my new light box. I love it but I know I must be doing something wrong b/c my pictures have a slight pink tint to them. Photographer I'm not. I'm wondering if it's the settings on the camera? I'm going to give it another shot tomorrow. I was rushing myself so I'm sure it's the operator.

Here is what I painted today. 3 - 4x6 flat panel canvas' they are a series I'm calling "Bandit Houses" Then I did a 6x8 gallery wrapped canvas called "Ladybug Kiss" I really love this one.

How was your weekend?

My tabletop photo studio is here! I'm so excited to set it up and start using it. I ordered it from LTD Commodities for only $39.95 well worth it I think. We'll see when try it out. It not only comes with the light box BUT it comes with the following....(per the website)

Use your own camera with the Tabletop Photo Studio to take crisp, clear photos.

Ruche

Hello Bandits. Happy Thursday! 1 more day of the old office job for me. While cruising the Internet at work today (shh) I came across this funky vintage shop called Ruche I just has to share. It's so classy cool.

If I haven't shared with you already I will now...I have a handbag fetish. I just love handbags I can't have enough of them. Some girls obsess over shoes or clothes, which I do love, but I really heart bags they are my weakness. I found this great bag here at Ruche and I just have to have it. Isn't it just awesome? I love big bags so this is perfect for me to lug all my stuff to work. I'll be ordering it shortly.

The also have some funky jewelry. Like thisbutterfly ring . I may have to get this too. OH! and they take Pay Pal how cool is that?

Pictures as promised...

Well here are the pictures I promised. They are a little dark, today was a cloudy day. The first are of my kitchen. This first is the nook coming in from the front door. The second is standing in the nook looking into the actual "cooking area" That's Joe's department, we still have to tile the back splash. The third shot is from the other door closest to our living area.

Next we have our dining room....

Lastly is our family room along with the back of joe's head watching sports center of course.

Up stairs hasn't been painted yet we'll work on that next year. For now were are sick of painting.

I got to paint a little bit today but didn't really get done what I wanted to get done. I think I'm in a funk. I hate when I get like this. I have too many ideas in my head, and I try to do them all at once and nothing seems to look right to me.

Here is what I did today. 2 cake toppers and 1 canvas that came out terrible in this picture. It looks washed out I'll try to take better ones this week.

Until next time... K

Where did the summer go?

Hello Bandits! Sorry for the lack in posting. It's been a blur around here lately. It was just the end of August and I was complaining about the heat. Now it's the first week of September and the air is cool and crisp I LOVE IT!

Joe and I finally finished painting the dining room and living room of the house. I am exhausted but it looks so crisp and clean. I can't stop looking at the walls. Color is so much nicer than white. We chose, OK I chose, a deep green (it's called chopped dill not to get off the subject but can I have the job that names paint colors or even nail polish colors?) for the living room and part of the dining room and a sandy beige for the rest of the dining room and hallway. I'm going to take pictures and post them tomorrow.

In the chaos of painting I started decorating for fall too. I can't express how much I love this time of year. Football, cool weather, pumpkin and apple picking.

what are your favorite things about this time of year?
